Revenue Analyst I

The purpose of the class is to perform professional, technical and administrative duties related to the collection, enhancement and support of Richland County’s business revenue collections; to issue business licenses and permits, and to perform related work as required. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision. Conducts data mining and other research to discover new means of identifying and locating businesses doing business within the unincorporated area of Richland County. Interacts regularly with the business community in the office. Requires Bachelor’s degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in finance, accounting, economics, business or a closely related field. Must be able to supply written proof of completion for all course work and/or degree(s) that are being used to satisfy the minimum education requirements. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in local government. Must be competent with different computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data processing applications.
