Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
Pay: $19–$22 per hour (based on experience)
About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience – Sterling is seeking a reliable and caring Support Staff / Floater Teacher to assist across multiple classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of various ages and thrives in a supportive, team-focused preschool and childcare environment.
If you have classroom experience and want consistent afternoon hours, this is a perfect opportunity to build your skills in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support for infant, toddler, and preschool rooms as needed.
- Assist lead teachers with activities, play-based learning, and daily routines.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Support transitions, snack time, diapering/toileting, and supervision.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Follow all Virginia childcare licensing and center safety guidelines.

High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting.
- Flexible, dependable, and comfortable supporting multiple age groups.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all Virginia state childcare requirements.

Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
