The EMAT Features Technical Engineer role will handle projects and coordinate the multi-functional team activities with a goal of meeting or exceeding the launch metrics for new feature development while advocating as the Voice of the Customer. The successful candidate will work seamlessly with colleagues in Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, and Validation, with a focus on new feature development and delivery to meet corporate achievements.
Your role
- Bachelors of Science Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering or an equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- We are looking 5 years of automotive experience.
- We are looking Good project coordination skills
- Flexibility - must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
- Coordinate EMAT Technical Features in the area of Energy Consumption & Range, Longitudinal Dynamics & Drivability, and Vehicle Energy Conformity.
- Ensure common process and consistent execution of the virtual/physical tools
- Act as the technical guide at the vehicle level for assigned domain areas
- Approve the global Technical Policy of responsible Features!
- Support Vehicle Issue Resolution
- Lead lessons learned for domain area
- Support Platform new feature development!
- Support program specific new feature development
- Driven Benchmarking
- Voice of Customer Clinics
Your skills and experience
- Strong Background in Engineering Product Development and Automotive Systems
- Knowledge in Writing Requirements at all Levels
- Ability to interpret various regulatory requirements and Industry Standard processes
- Experience with software development, Vehicle Testing, Data acquisition, EPA Drive Cycles, Vehicle Demand Energy, BEV Range experience.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Always eager to learn and improve.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
