Summary of Job Duties:

The Event Production Assistant will work 15-20 flexible hours per week. This position will support the coordination and execution of various events within the Arkansas Union for Arkansas Union Event Services. This position will provide technical assistance with audiovisual equipment, lighting, and sound systems during events and troubleshoot any issues that arise with equipment. This position will assist in setting up and tearing down event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring the venue is prepared for each event. This position will provide customer service and interact with event hosts and attendees to address their needs and ensure a smooth experience during events. This position will maintain a safe environment during events by adhering to safety protocols, fire codes, and Arkansas Union policies. This position will communicate effectively with other Arkansas Union staff, event organizers, and external vendors to coordinate event details and resolve any issues that arise. This position will assist in managing inventory of event equipment and supplies, ensuring items are properly stored and maintained. This position will collaborate with event planners and organizers to ensure all logistical aspects are in place, such as room reservations, equipment needs, and layout requirements.
