National Grid is hiring a Senior Program Manager, Regulatory Delivery for its New England Electric organization. This is a hybrid role, with visits to either the Data Drive, Waltham or Northborough office approximately 1-2 days per week. US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes contiguous states (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont).
Job Purpose
Working within the New England Electric Strategy and Regulatory organization, the Senior Program Manager (Regulatory Delivery) will be responsible for the coordination and timely delivery of New England Electric’s regulatory reporting. National Grid is investing in our electric network to make it more reliable, resilient, and to enable the integration of distributed energy resources. Clearly communicating our plans and progress to our regulators is critical to ensure we can make the investments needed to deliver on our climate targets and meet our customers’ expectations.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the development, compilation and editing of regulatory filings required to support ongoing regulatory processes including initial filings, discovery, testimony, and annual / semi-annual reports and reconciliation.
- Develop expert understanding of major regulatory filings and associated dockets including rate case, Massachusetts Electric Sector Modernization Plan (ESMP), and Massachusetts Grid Modernization Plan.
- Ability to provide clear written explanations of complex issues and ensure written filing documents are concise, well-organized, and consistent with other Company filings in terms of content, format, and tone.
- Produce quantitative analysis to track and report on key regulatory outcomes including Performance Incentive Mechanisms (PIMS), capital tracker, performance metrics, and quantifiable project benefits included in cost-benefit analyses.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across multi-disciplinary teams including distribution engineering, system planning, substation engineering, telecommunications engineering, standards, system operations, field operations, IT, regulatory, legal, community relations, corporate strategy and other groups to ensure project delivery aligns with approved regulatory filings.
- Educate the New England Electric Business on existing regulatory requirements and recovery mechanisms to drive optimum performance within their parameters.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of utility regulation or equivalent experience
- Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited institution: Business, Management, Communications, STEM, or experience in program management and reporting
- Superior communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and determine priorities in a team environment
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills (deadline oriented)
- Positively influences others and gains their respect, cooperation and support

Salary: $93,000 - $109,000 a year
