To safely and effectively lead group exercise classes.

License /Certification Required:Heartsaver AED Preferred:N/A Education Required:High school diploma or equivalent Preferred:N/A Testing N/A Experience Required:N/A Preferred:Prior experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities N/A Department Specific Requirements If assigned to instruct in the Aquatic area: additional certification may be required. If assigned to Community Outreach: bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred. Essential Instructs a variety of aerobic/aquatic classes safely and effectively. Maintains current HeartSaver AED certification. Attends monthly staff meetings, annual in services, and maintains vaccines as required by the hospital Kaweah Health. Informs management of problems, or complaints regarding the facility. Addendum (essential for specific dept) QUAIL PARK:Works cooperatively with the Wellness Center Nurses in the development, implementation and instruction of exercise classes/programs specific to the needs and interests of the facility's "senior" residents. COMMUNITY OUTREACH:Independently plans and implements group physical activity classes for adults and youth. Willing and able to quickly make adjustments to planned activities based on class size and audience. Effectively tracks participation in activities. Assists with fitness testing for program participants. Additional Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$18.47 -$27.71
