Lancashire Constabulary’s Fleet Management Service Stores Team is seeking a Fleet Stores Assistant to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site. 

The purpose of this role is:

  • To administer the stores department and conduct annual stock audits. Maintaining a clear and orderly store, adequately referenced and operating within health and safety and security regulations
  • To liaise with local and national parts suppliers, regularly monitor pricelists ensuring all parts purchased are of suitable quality and provide value for money whilst ensuring all purchases are in line with standing orders and procurement rules / legislation
  • Communicate with workshop team leaders / technicians ensuring appropriate spare parts are prepared in advance in accordance with servicing schedules and pre- planned repairs
  • Ensure all spares and parts delivered or booked out of stores are accurately recorded and in a timely manner
  • To promote and comply with Lancashire Constabulary’s obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and Health & Safety, both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others
  • Work with customers and colleagues to ensure delivery of effective communication and management of expectations. Adopting a customer focussed approach
