In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid and DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.
With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering the cost of healthcare, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital market segments.

The Finance Controller will oversee both accounting operations and financial business partnering, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting while driving business performance. Reporting directly to the Chief Accountant, with a dotted line to the Regional Business Leader, America, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and establish finance operations for the Americas region, for the “NewCo” for the Business Unit - Emergency Care, which will be carved out from Philips at the end of 2025.
Your role:
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and management reporting for the Americas region, we consolidate and oversee legal entity reporting encompassing the balance sheet, profit & loss statement, cash flow statements, and other required disclosures. Additionally, we deliver comprehensive internal financial performance reports, including monthly results, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plans. Our team leads the resolution of local accounting issues by collaborating with Infosys and other external partners to drive continuous improvements in accounting processes. Furthermore, we support financial audits and the preparation of tax documentation, ensuring compliance and meticulous attention to detail.
Financial Business Partnering: We partner with the Regional Business Leader (RBL) to drive and grow regional business value by setting and achieving financial and strategic targets related to sales, pricing, margins, credit management, and costs. Through providing comprehensive financial analysis and decision support, we influence sales channel strategies, market share investments, and financing solutions. Representing the company in discussions with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax authorities, customers, and suppliers, we ensure clarity and alignment on financial matters. Additionally, we strengthen credit management processes by collaborating closely with commercial teams, thereby enhancing overall financial health and operational efficiency.
Disentanglement & Transition to “NewCo”: Actively participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), we proactively identify and address issues, collaborating closely with the disentanglement team to ensure a seamless process. Leveraging our financial expertise, we facilitate a smooth transition from Philips to NewCo by providing robust analytical support and strategic insights. This collaboration ensures that potential challenges are swiftly managed and that the transfer of financial operations is executed with precision and minimal disruption, driving sustained success in the post-transition phase.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 8+ in finance roles, with a strong background in both accounting and FP&A. Experience in supporting commercial organization is a strong plus.
Your skills include an exceptional understanding of IFRS and US GAAP, with proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
You have a Bachelor’s degree (required), in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
