GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ECD-Early Childhood Dev department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

  • Prepare and teach Early Childhood Coursework to the NAEYC standards
  • Supervises Early Childhood lab students
  • Participate in departmental, divisional, and campus committee work
  • Maintain competence through continuous professional development
  • Advise students
  • Maintain scheduled office hours
  • Meet deadlines for record keeping
  • Participate in program administration and management
  • Assist as needed with the operation of the Greenville Technical College Child Development Center
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate hours in early childhood or family studies) or a Master's degree in Special Education or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in special education.        

Eligibility to teach ECD 280 Registered Behavior Technician must Possess a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certification (BCaCA) and Completed an 8-hour training based on the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Supervisor Training Curriculum Outline 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years experience working with Preschool children or two years experience teaching preschool special education students; have appropriate knowledge and skills to teach all Early Childhood Development courses; experience to include supervision of adult staff in Early Childhood programs and with special needs children.
