VP of Finance (Las Vegas)

JOB SUMMARY:
The VP of Finance will work directly with the SVP of Finance to create strategies specifically as it relates to capital structures, mergers/acquisitions, and divestures. Additionally, this role will be primarily responsible for preparing all Board of Director Materials and serve as a senior member of the Property Finance Function.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Responsible for overseeing the annual budgeting process, periodic re-forecasting efforts during the year, and analysis requirements across the Las Vegas region
- Responsible for overseeing maintenance and growth capital deployment for the region, including financial modeling and work with Capital Committee on necessary approvals and fund release
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all ad-hoc analyses and reports, metrics, and dashboards
- Prepare and analyze actual financial results with appropriate comparison to historical and projected performance
- Lead the preparation and be capable of effectively presenting portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual Board of Directors and Quarterly Business Review presentations
- Contribute to financial management of the Company by providing insights and recommendations on cash flow, cost identification, and revenue opportunities
- Develop relationships with property leaders to ensure strong, effective communication between the FP&A team and operating departments
- Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
- Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Champion within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior
- Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA required
- 7-10 years progressive leadership experience; Finance preferred
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to think creatively about ways to analyze casino operations and other casino-related businesses
- Strong experience with capital structure; mergers; acquisitions and divestures
- Ability to accept ambiguous circumstances and take action where answers to a problem are not readily apparent
- Strong project management skills. Ability to manage in a fast-changing dynamic environment with many different stakeholders
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
