Clinical Support Assistant, Oswego

Description

Basic Function: To assist in the provision of quality health care. Provide clerical support to the Clinical team. Assists with clinical procedures as required.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Complete chart preps for upcoming appointments
2. Answer phone calls and pages, coordinating communication with team members and patients
3. Complete robust calling, appointment confirmations, etc.
4. Print patient letters, notes as requested by provider (school or work notes)
5. Print information for patient discharge as requested
6. Print CCD forms for ambulance transfers
7. Obtain lab, radiology or other test results as requested by provider
8. Assist with task follow-up and closure
9. Assist clinical support with rooming patients
10. Assist with preparation for treatments and procedures without medication administration
11. Assist in maintaining clinical supplies and cleanliness of work area
12. Assist with regulatory audits as requested
13. Schedule patient appointments according to guidelines
14. To engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team
15. Any other clinical duties and responsibilities as requested by management and supervision

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education Requirements:

High school graduate or GED, experience in ambulatory care preferred

Must demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite. EMR experience preferred

Must possess a willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors

Must possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations

Must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers

Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position
