Your mission

Join our close-knit, early-stage distributed team, where we tackle complex technical challenges and build transformative crypto products that give people peace of mind. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our backend architecture, scaling our systems, and driving high-impact engineering and product initiatives. You'll work cross-functionally to influence technical direction and mentor engineers, helping us build a world-class engineering team.

This role is for our new Enterprise product - this is a 0-1 initiative with a small, focused team. We’ve already signed initial customers and are seeing strong early traction. You’ll help define core features, lay the technical foundation, and collaborate closely with leadership. It’s a pivotal moment for CoinTracker as we expand from a single-product company to a multi-product platform - and you’ll play a central role in our next chapter.

What you will do

• Architect backend systems, including to serve as the foundation of a new 0-1 product.

• Lead and drive critical technical projects, making high-impact decisions that shape the product and ensure long-term maintainability and performance.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other teams to align technical execution with early-stage product goals and customer feedback.

• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence and best practices across the team.

• Continuously improve system performance, observability, and maintainability to support rapid iteration.

• Take ownership in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, balancing speed with technical rigor in service of early customer needs.
