<p>In the Cloud tribe, in the Data Services area a position of senior GOlang Engineer within Cassandra team has become available.<br/>We are looking for an enthusiastic Java engineer who loves to create stuff from scratch with a mindset of security first.<br/>Has a natural tendency to help and support and learn from other engineering teams. <br/>A large part of this function will be customer support and owning the API, knowing what is happening and communicating with our infra backed.<br/>Application Platforms is a challenging IT work environment with extensive, innovative developments. Staff who want to grow along with us will be given plenty of opportunities for their own initiatives and development.</p><p></p><p><span>The team</span></p><p>The purpose of the Global Tribe Cloud is to build and run the target infrastructure platform in a (private) cloud delivery model. This delivery model is based on multi-tenant, self-service, pay-per-use capabilities for application of DevOps teams as defined in the One Way of Working.  </p><p>Tribe Cloud comprises five Global Areas: </p><ul><li><p>Infrastructure as a Service </p></li><li><p>Data Services  </p></li><li><p>Platform as a Service  </p></li><li><p>Cloud API Platform </p></li><li><p>Onboarding and Customer Experience </p></li></ul><p> <br/>The Minions squad provides Cassandra Keyspace as a Service (KaaS) on our multitenant and<br/>dedicated clusters. KaaS is provided as a complete journey, our centre of expertise provides<br/>continued support and advice to teams using our service. <br/>The Minions squad strives to be ahead of the game by keeping a close eye<br/>on all the metrics and logs to detect possible interruptions before they happen.</p><p><span>Roles and responsibilities</span></p><p>Our ideal new colleague has:</p><ul><li><p>Minimal 3 years’ experience in the core of GO.</p></li><li><p>Experienced in OpenShift4 (Kubernetes k8s/Helm) is a must.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Azure DevOps, CD/CI tools and pipelines, Ansible is a must.</p></li><li><p>Capable of delivering both working code and a suitable set of automated tests.</p></li><li><p>Linux RHEL 8/9 experience is a nice to have.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of software security issues, like the OWASP top 10.</p></li><li><p>Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of working in a complex IT landscape such as ING.</p></li><li><p>Excellent soft skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong Team Player and technical leadership.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>How to succeed</span></p><p><span>We hire smart people like you for your potential.
