The Job:
As a Job Title Here, you’ll be part of our team working as a hybrid employee. Responsible for providing sourcing leadership for New Product Development in a cross functional team environment, which would include Supply Selection, Cost & Capital Management, Risk Assessment & Mitigation, Supplier Management throughout the Product Development and On-Going Process Improvements to speed Product Development. You’ll get to:
• Provide overall sourcing leadership working in a cross functional team environment with Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Commodity Managers and Global Suppliers to launch New Products that will be designed in-house and manufactured in one of our many global manufacturing plants.
• Drive Supply Base Selection by ensuring consensus with Engineering, Manufacturing & Commodity Managers to meet the business needs.
• Validate capacity & align critical component supply with program ramp schedules. Coordinate design reviews and lead communications with Engineering and Suppliers to assure that components meet design for manufacturability.
• Conduct RFQ’s for early electrical component designs. Perform Make vs Buy analysis as needed and use Total Cost Ownership principles. Negotiate Component Cost, Tooling Costs, Minimum Order Quantity, Lead Times and Delivery Schedules with Suppliers. Coordinate Purchase Order placement for tooling and components for sample builds and assist in tracking of tooling and components into the plant. Work with Manufacturing and Plant Sourcing to set up components in SAP (ERP system) Responsible for Material Cost tracking and reporting throughout the Program.

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably engineering, supply chain, similar.
• 1+ year of experience.
• Knowledge of procurement, manufacturing, product development, supplier sourcing strategies, supplier integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across diverse commodities, suppliers, and business functions.
• Understand Engineering component specifications and how they translate into supplier capability requirements.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
