About the Role

We’re looking for a technically grounded and highly motivated Lead Software Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead key initiatives in software productization. HP IQ is building a new product line within a recently acquired business unit—combining the agility of a startup with the scale of an enterprise.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving high-impact technical programs from inception through execution. Whether you come from a software or systems engineering background and are transitioning into program management, or you’re already a seasoned EPM with deep technical fluency, we value your curiosity, adaptability, and growth mindset.

What You Might Do

  • Drive Platform Deliverables
    • Manage Cashmere platform team/s to deliver NCE app on-image, including POR, DCR and meeting platform SW milestones
    • Align program development deliverables to HP’s Product Life Cycle (PLC) process
    • Manage Pulsar image creation and SoftPaqs per NCE release
    • Coordinate Consumer and Commercial platform teams weekly to stay aligned to the development plan
    • Drive issue resolution between ODM test team and NCE development team
  • Drive AI Lab Team Deliverables
    • Plan and deliver AI models from AI Lab to NCE app
    • Drive AI models integration 
    • Lead planning of future model updates
    • Lead correctness and quality continual improvements
    • Drive LLM roadmap updates with chipset vendors
  • TPM consultant and efficiency
    • Share, guide and advise HP IQ leads based on AI Companion experiences
    • Governance - Legal, Cyber, Privacy, OSRB, TPRA, ARB/ML global HP requirements
    • Manageability - leverage AIC solution as PoC using Intune

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading zero-to-one software or platform development efforts, particularly in fast-paced or evolving environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline—or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or product/program roles supporting AI platforms or software systems
  • Strong foundation in full-stack software development, including cloud services and on-device components
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project tracking tools, with a consistent record of leading cross-functional programs to success
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and align diverse teams

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in both startup environments and enterprise-scale organizations
  • Track record of launching software products for consumer markets
  • Ability to adapt program management approaches to meet team structures, enabling streamlined planning and communication
  • Skilled at enhancing development velocity while maintaining high standards and alignment with product and design goals
  • Proficient in issue and task tracking systems such as Jira

Salary: $210,000- $260,000

Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)

The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
