Material Handler I

Position Overview:

• Completes basic operational approved logistics processing on schedule (Warehouse / Transport / Dispatch).

• Relocation will not be offered for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and pack orders (Handheld scanners)..

• Operates power equipment including Reach Truck and 5k forklifts.

• Place materials in storage area in designated places.

• Maintains 5’s conditions in the warehouse by sweeping and general cleanup.

• Follow established safety procedures

• Follows all rules of the department, company, and state and federal laws.

• Willing and available to work overtime and weekends as needed

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency.

• Ability to meet production standards.

• Ability to read, write and grasp metric measuring system.

• Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy.

• Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis and be on feet 8 or more hours/day

• Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days.

• Ability to read, write and grasp metric measuring system.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Upto 2 years of experience into manufacturing field.

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or material handling role is helpful.

• Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy.  

• Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days 

• Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
