Position Details

 

The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to individuals. The CRNP conducts evaluations and provides clinical interventions in a manner consistent with the philosophy, mission, and vision of the organization. This role works collaboratively with the outpatient team to provide exceptional care to those served.

Duties include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to determine the patient's treatment needs. 
• Collaborate with the psychiatrist to develop and implement medication treatment in outpatient setting.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed; monitor medication effectiveness and side effects, making adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate care and treatment modalities with team and external providers as needed. 
• Educate patients and their families about behavioral health conditions, treatment options, and recovery strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes using the electronic health records system ensuring compliance with documentation standards and legal regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and clinical audits.
• Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices in behavioral health
• Adhere to the Merakey policies and procedures, comply with code of conduct, and participate in regular supervision and development.
