Summary
Provide analytical services, expertise, critical and innovative thinking, or as a project leader, to improve SRP's financial posture in areas of cash, investment, capital and tax management through research, analysis and execution of financing alternatives, investment management, policies, strategies and legal requirements.
What You'll Do
- Performs analysis and studies across treasury functions, including debt, cash, investment, capital, and tax management requiring a significant knowledge of related fields.
- Performs as a project leader on important projects which are large, or which have many complex features.
- Serve as the technical expert regarding compliance laws and regulations and provides direction to others on complex issues
- Performs as a staff consultant and/or advisor across treasury functions.
- Develops treasury and tax objectives and policies for corporate-wide dissemination. Measures and ensures compliance with these objectives and policies.
- Analyzes changes and proposed changes in government policies and legislation for impact on SRP; Recommends appropriate responses to executive management, industry working groups and lobbyists.
- Prepares and/or conducts written and oral reports and presentations.
- Other duties and tasks as needed
What It Takes To Succeed
- 10 years professional experience in discipline plus professional recognition. Analytical experience of increasing depth in financial services, planning, banking, investments, debt securities, economics, taxes, or related fields.
Education
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution plus an additional 18 graduate level college credits in an area of specialty.Additional Information
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Expert knowledge of financial and capital markets, including issuing taxable and tax-exempt debt; the banking industry; investments; qualified plans; accounting, securities’ compliance, and Treasury systems.
- Excellent math and analytical skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to maintain composure while dealing with tight time constraints
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to perform multiple, non-routine assignments concurrently.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to organize a diverse workload, work independently, and complete work accurately and within deadlines
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) helpful but not required.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
