Position: Senior Cloud Automation Engineer

Rate of Pay: $239,200/year - $244,000/year
Hours: Full Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)
Job Duties:
Perform architecture, design, and deploy various tools into Public Cloud (AWS and GCP) using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform among others. Design, architect, and build components to help automate and scale the Integrations platform. Responsible for acquiring, transforming, and integrating data across multiple Cloud applications with solid knowledge of API management and Integration technologies. Design and implement highly scalable Integrations and data pipeline architecture in a Distributed systems/hybrid cloud environment to support transformations in key process domains. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management. Build self-service analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics. Research industry and market trends and evaluate emerging technologies such as RPA and GraphQL to support digital transformation initiatives. Implement code to the desired specification following the best practices, including tests (TDD) and documentation. Remote work is permissible.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Special Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience must include:
- Writing Python modules and utilizing Python to deploy resources, including Lambda and cloud function;
- Utilizing shell scripts to handle cron jobs, manage vault secrets, and fetch data from different data sources;
- Building new products and development tools and analyzing and integrating external customer specifications;
- Utilizing infrastructure as code principles and designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines;
- Utilizing infrastructure management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef;
- Specifying, designing, and implementing modest changes to existing software architecture; and
- Evaluating and assessing any distributed architectural framework.
