Job Description
Aramark’s Step Up to Leadership (S2L) Paid Internship Program targets motivated college underclassmen and rising seniors who are eager to gain valuable business skills and leadership experience. The S2L Program is designed to provide students with key experience, expertise, and resources to help position them competitively for full-time positions post-graduation.
S2L interns gain relevant work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training to help them pursue what matters to them, both personally and professionally. Throughout the course of this premiere internship program, interns have the unique opportunity to take on leadership roles within Aramark while participating in structured program activities and development exercises.
Opportunities within the S2L program are focused in seven Career Tracks within our business and provide key milestone experiences specific to each Career Track. The S2L Program also offers a series of professional development trainings to supplement the learning that occurs through structured account experiences and on-the-job learning. S2L interns can expect:
• A paid 10–12-week experience
• Career readiness training & coaching
• Direct engagement with peers, mentors, and managers
• Professional network & personal brand development
• Structured career path conversations and learning development programs in preparation for potential full-time placement

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.00 to $15.25, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
Job Responsibilities

Must understand and meet all guest expectations and have the ability to communicate clearly. Maintains high service standards with children as a primary focus. Is ready to have fun with and entertain the guests as part of the daily duty. Serves all guests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner. Needs to work with other team members to provide a positive guest experience.

Effectively displays and prepares high quality product for the guest using the fresh food philosophy as a basis for all displays and merchandising. Monitors and maintains the proper taste, temperature, and appearance of all food items served to the guests.

Must follow the LEGOLAND California, Merlin Entertainment, and San Diego County guidelines/policies and procedures regarding proper sanitation and cleanliness standards. Must continuously monitor and have an overview of the cleanliness of patio, front and back of house during the entire daily business operation.

Must practice all safety policies and procedures as set by LEGOLAND California. Expected to take responsibility for inspecting and reporting all safety hazards to Assistant Manager and Area Manager or Safety Supervisor/Specialist immediately. Must monitor and re-train model citizens on all safety aspects in the daily operation

Must be knowledgeable on all LEGOLAND food safety and HACCP procedures and responsible for implementing and maintaining any relevant procedures and records. Must be able to pass the Food Handlers sanitation class that will be offered to all MCs.

Must be able to work in a very fast paced, multi task environment with extreme temperature changes. Must be able to work both indoor and outdoor, year-round environment with exposure to a variety of changing weather conditions.

Must follow and adhere to all policies and procedures as set by LEGOLAND California.

Must follow all California laws and license restrictions governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in the restaurants.

Is expected to assists with various special events and catering if required as a part of day to day duty.

Qualifications
- Open to those actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field of study. Educational requirements may change depending on the responsibilities of the role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends or holidays according to business needs.
