Job Summary

Working in the department of Neurology, the nurse will work with multiple providers to provide care to patients with neurologic conditions.

The Clinic Nurse is in the ambulatory Neurology Clinic Monday through Friday and plays a key role with a combination of patient facing care and triage nursing.

-responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care to patients
-responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients.
-collaborating with the clinical care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
-ensuring that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.

This Role focus on Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions requiring RN to learn and self-educate on various drugs, disease progression and patient education.

 

Qualifications

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 1-5 year required

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) preferable

Neurology Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
