Description
The University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) seeks highly qualified applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in International Business with an Emphasis on Strategy, beginning Fall 2027.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to conduct research in the area of International Business. Teaching responsibilities for the position will include courses in our Bachelor and Master of Business Administration and possibly Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics programs. There may also be an opportunity to teach and advise in our new Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) program. Assigned courses will be determined based on candidate expertise and department/school needs. Courses taught may be in-person, hybrid, or online. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic school committed to excellence in research, teaching, and industry engagement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a relevant earned doctorate degree in International Business or a closely related field from an AACSB or similarly accredited institution by the start date.
- A record indicating potential for significant scholarship in high-quality refereed journals is required, as evidenced by doctoral dissertation work, conference papers or presentations, or published journal articles.
- Evidence of teaching experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates will possess a research and teaching background with emphasis on Strategic Management or Global Strategy.
- Candidates will possess a familiarity with contemporary subjects such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.
