The primary function of this job is to ensure proper maintenance within the facility and to ensure timely production of high-quality products in a cost efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner. The job requires technical and problem-solving skills. Work activities include the repair and maintenance of the facility and its equipment.
During your Monday to Friday day shift as a Maintenance Technician III, you will
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and the facility in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
- Work independently, if necessary, to complete maintenance tasks and follow written instructions.
- Proficiently utilize hand tools, power tools, cutting and burning equipment, welding equipment, and operate material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair 0-480v electrical systems by utilizing your general knowledge of electrical equipment, wire and component sizing, and electric meter usage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that prescribed safeguards are properly used.
- Understand that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a significant aspect of BASF's Principles and promptly report all unsafe conditions and accidents to the appropriate manager, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
If you...
- Possess a High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma. A Technical Degree is preferred.
- Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in precision maintenance on rotating manufacturing equipment and in electrical troubleshooting.
- Have basic computer skills with MS Office and Outlook.
- Are willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
