THE JOB:

The Senior Facilities Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all building systems and operational functions.  This position oversees day-to-day departmental operations while providing strategic guidance to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.  This leader is responsible for managing the full scope of building maintenance, infrastructure operations, and trade-specific functions. The Senior Facilities Manager will supervise and develop the engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring that all work is effectively planned, assigned, and executed to the highest standards. They will champion operational excellence, proactively address facility needs, and support long-term planning to sustain a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Execute department strategy consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives

• Directly supervise all engineering activities and maintenance personnel including performance feedback, setting work priorities and goals,  Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s service standards and brand attributes

• Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, and building codes and maintain accurate record keeping of department activities and documents

• Continuously monitor utility costs and consumption and maintain required logs for all utilities

• Leverage programs to maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures and oversee preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs/replacement of equipment including but not limited to electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, snow removal, and landscaping

• Provide input and manage levels of inventory and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machinery to property standards Responsible for event setup for concerts and special events

• Ensures all racetrack maintenance facilities are maintained to ensure livestock areas are safe

• Ensures all grounds and landscaped areas are maintained and safe for guests and team members

• Coordinates and acts as point-person for all contracted preventative maintenance and service work at the property Ensures all facilities fleet equipment is maintained

• Orders all tools and equipment for Facilities

• Serves as management backup for Environmental Services (EVS) in absence of Sr EVS Manager

• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain proper licensure as required by the New York State Gaming Commission

• Must be available to work a 7am-4pm shift, subject to change based on operational needs

• Must possess a minimum of two years of prior relevant experience as a Facilities Manager or related technical education

• Has experience in leading large-scale project management initiatives

• Has experience in leading skilled unionized trade teams such as engineering, plumbing, carpentry, and related disciplines

• Has prior experience working in a similar resort setting

• Has a Bachelor’s degree
