Sr Manager Hyphen Engineering

The Hyphen Sr Engineering Manager demonstrates leadership among the engineering managers and leads the team to design, develop and implement modern full stack applications. As a leader, you will help deliver great products and mentor other team members in the process. You will collaborate with other engineering teams, and work autonomously to maintain existing applications and participate in new initiatives. As a technical leader, you will help develop and identify recommendations to use new technologies within the enterprise and improve the resiliency of our existing services used by our customers.

This role is Hybrid, and the Hyphen office is in Hartford, CT. The Expectation for a Sr Manager is to be in CT office once a month and occasionally in NY Manhattan office.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical managers and engineers to build highly scalable solutions
• As a leader, you will help develop Hyphen’s products and mentor other engineering managers and team members in the process
• You will collaborate with other engineering teams, and work autonomously to maintain existing products and participate in new initiatives
• Work with leadership across teams to plan new projects and identify new initiatives
• Work with the team to create proof of concepts for new technologies we want to adopt
• Individually contribute to the team’s projects
• Understand and help implement complex technologies
• Additional duties as assigned
• Hybrid is once a month in CT and occasional time in the NY office (Manhattan)

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands on senior manager passionate about architecting highly scalable and user-friendly solution
• Work experience managing teams
• 5+ years of ReactJS Experience
• 3+ years of experience with designing, building and managing REST APIs
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and ability to handle challenging stakeholders
• Experience in developing architectural models that will operate at large scale and high performance, and advise on how to run these architectural models
• Experience with track record of analysis, design, Prototype, develop, deploy data, analytics or web solutions
• Partner closely with stakeholders and counterparts to understand business challenge and develop appropriate solutions
• A strategic mindset with focus on execution, with emphasis on developing talent
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience
• FHIR experience
