Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for building, growing, winning, and maintaining business within the assigned region. A successful individual in this role develops, cultivates, qualifies, actions, and closes said business from leads that are self-generated, company provided, and existing/repeat customers. Overall, the Territory Sales Manager will administer and maintain customer relationships, expectations, and outcomes from an outside sales perspective. You will collaborate with safety, management, engineering, and purchasing professionals at various Fortune 1000-level companies to conceptualize, develop, and plan unique fall protection solutions and projects that help to ensure people go home safely each day.  This position requires a self- directed, organized, forward thinking, service minded, and energetic person who is results-driven and is capable of professional and detailed follow through. This role is critical to the organization and integral to the continued growth of the Company.

  • Actively calling directly on and visiting customers and job sites across a wide variety of unique industries that few salespeople get to enjoy working across. Some examples of customer facilities include:  1) Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance hangars servicing everything from fighter jets to massive cargo planes. 2) Manufacturing facilities that make everything from computer chips to plywood boards. 3) At-height environments from hydro-electric dams to the tops of skyscrapers. 4) Transportation and maintenance facilities for buses, trains, trucks and even spaceships.
  • Ability to follow and execute the FLD Sales Process.
  • Meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for total sales and gross margin.
  • Develop and execute individual and company business development plans.
  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships to turn customers into partners.
  • Promptly act on and effectively qualify new leads to advance into the future quotes and orders funnel.
  • Regularly travel in designated territory performing site visits and customer consultations.
  • Competently assess customer facilities and situations to accurately prescribe a fall protection solution.
  • Follow Customer safety protocols, requirements, and regulations while on client facility visits.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and technical proposals.
  • Maintain CRM database of assigned leads, opportunities, quote, and orders.
  • Proactively schedule and manage daily & weekly activities on calendar.
  • Produce regular, accurate, and timely reporting of activities, forecasts, and orders.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Consultative and solution-based sales experience incorporating multiple, phased services within a product or package.
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of sales experience selling to end-user customers, or in lieu of education, 5+ years of related sales experience preferably in a construction or industrial related field.
  • Ability to travel 50-60% to various locations in North American and regularly be away from home
  • Proven track record of professional success of meeting and exceeding goals.High level of proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, CRM systems, and additional software programs.
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with a willingness to communicate extensively.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of fall protection solutions, regulations and/or construction and manufacturing processes.
