Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Program Support Manager supporting the Long-Range Enterprise Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Activity (LEIA) Programs. Leidos is the Product Support Management and Logistics Lead for manned and unmanned airborne, ground, and maritime intelligence collection platforms located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas and depots. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Leidos QRC AISR Systems Division.

The Logistics Program Support Manager is responsible for managing the functional Logistics support staff such as purchasing team, shipping & receiving, warehouse manager, depot maintenance coordinator, tool calibration analyst, government property manager, local logisticians, and OCONUS logisticians. Program Support is responsible for communicating with PM’s/DPM’s/Program Ops managers to fulfill contract requirements and customer requests, managing directorate spend plans, work authorizations, and proposal efforts for task orders and on contract growth.

Program Support Manager reports to the Director of Logistics and provides direction, support, and training as required for weekly logistics activities on the LEIA program. Program support manager works closely with LNO is responsible for logistics coordination and supply flow for the program they support. LNO will monitor critical spares and consumables for their assigned program, plan and implement a logistics response to system failures or supply shortages. LNO will interface with Government logistics leads, site leads, OCONUS Logisticians, Integration & Test, Engineering, and other key staff to ensure response to all emerging logistics requirements for their assigned program.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Provides direction, support, and training as required for activities of LEIA logisticians such as logistics liaison officers (LNO), procurement, warehousing, shipping and receiving, property management, maintenance planning and reporting, regulatory compliance, and OCONUS logisticians.

  • Provides direction to the LNO’s who are responsible for logistics coordination, supply planning, and distribution for the program(s) they support. LNO will plan bill of material for new project builds or site set up, initiate procurement of all material in accordance with scheduled milestone efforts, and coordinate distribution of material by coordinating with site operations personnel, maintenance teams, site logisticians and other stakeholders to ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, tools, and support equipment for their assigned program sustainment objectives.

  • Coordinates and leads logistics meetings with government staff, Leidos OCONUS and CONUS leads, subcontractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders in an effort to optimize logistics response to all emerging requirements for LEIA program.

  • Manages the local logistics team leads responsible for packaging, handling, storage, and transportation such as the warehouse manager, local logistics, and shipping and receiving managers.

  • Coordinates with other LEIA functional managers such as Maintenance Manager, Part 145 repair shop General Manager, A&P Mechanic, Pilots, Project Managers, Site Leads, Engineering, and Integration and Test leads to implement proactive, thorough, and realistic logistics plans.

  • Responsible for problem escalation and resolution between cross functional teams with secondary Logistics responsibilities, reporting requirements, or database inputs.

  • Responsible for Logistics process documentation and training program to ensure LEIA staff are aware of their responsibilities related to logistics supply planning, database reporting, property accountability, maintenance reporting, and depot repair workflows.

  • Responsible for supply chain risk management objectives, counterfeit parts prevention, obsolescence and DMSMS program, and AS9100 approved vendor list and vendor management.

  • Responsible for calibration, expiration, and warranty programs.

  • Issues work authorizations for all Logistics staff.

  • Manages and submit requests for EWW and OT approval
