The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is field-facing role whose main objectives are to:
Be the trusted scientific partner to key external experts by conducting timely, appropriate and frequent scientific exchanges to enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of our products.
Execute on stakeholder engagement plans to gather data, develop and share medical insights that contribute to enhancement of Sanofi’s key medical messages, plans and future research.
Keep abreast of medical and scientific developments in the therapeutic field to help identify and critically assess research opportunities and to play a supportive role in the execution of evidence generation plans to enhance the value of our products in a real-world setting
Recognize, record and share insights that deepen our understanding of the needs of patients, consumers, regulators, payers, and healthcare providers and proactively contributes towards identifying unmet needs.
Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, Medical Information and Commercial Operations) while maintaining full compliance with relevant company, industry, legal and regulatory requirements
Demonstrate operational understanding and risk management by ensuring excellence in execution of all governance processes.

Main Responsibilities:
1. External Scientific Engagement
One-on-one & group interactions with external stakeholders using deep therapeutic area knowledge.
Leverages disease expertise and competitive intelligence to communicate product value to experts.
Builds long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and stakeholder partners.
Educates stakeholders on medical/clinical topics using approved materials within regulatory guidelines.
Monitors healthcare policies at local through national levels.
Maps and prioritizes stakeholders using defined systems aligned with medical strategy.
Executes Scientific Engagement Model for territory planning and congress participation.
Organizes educational meetings and advisory boards, supports speaker training.
2. Data Collection & Insights Generation
Gathers stakeholder feedback from multiple sources and interactions.
Records insights using available tools and mechanisms.
Critically evaluates published studies and stakeholder input to develop market insights.
Contributes to strategy enhancement through deep understanding of market needs.
Maintains awareness of emerging evidence in disease area.
3. Internal Collaboration
Distributes scientific information and external insights to internal teams.
Collaborates cross-functionally with Commercial, Regulatory, Business Development on various initiatives.
Creates materials for stakeholders following internal and regulatory policies.
4. Evidence Generation Support
Monitors disease epidemiology and supports protocol development for various study types.
Identifies data collection opportunities during stakeholder interactions.
Maintains clinical trial awareness and suggests trial sites
Supports investigator-sponsored studies through appropriate process
