The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We’re looking for a system administrator who specializes in system and network virtualization with a background in network engineering to help us modernize and scale the client's infrastructure. 

As a system administrator on our project, you’ll support the development of a modernized system of systems and constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.

Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skill set into areas like Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), artificial intelligence, and data visualization. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network so your clients achieve their goals. You Have: 

  • 1+ years of experience designing, implementing, and configuring Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) capabilities

  • Experience leading IT teams on the day-to-day management and operations of networks and implementation of capabilities vetted through Cybersecurity, Information Systems Security Engineer, and higher headquarters to maintain JSIG and RMF Authority to Operate and maintain Continuous Monitoring tools and processes

  • Experience with creating Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly O&M checklists, and build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists

  • Experience monitoring and analyzing the output of cybersecurity tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware

  • Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies, including communication security (COMSEC) integration

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and 2+ years of experience as a network engineer, system administrator, or IT support, or 5+ years of experience as a network engineer, system administrator, or IT support in lieu of degree

  • DoD 8140 451 Systems Administrator Level 2 Certification, including Security+, Cloud+, or CCNA Certification

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with VMWare NSX or VMWare ESXi

  • Experience applying industry standards and best practices in an enterprise-level Windows system environment

  • Experience with Group Policy design and configuration

  • Knowledge of WSUs or YUM patch deployment methodologies

  • Database Administration or Operating Systems Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
