Atlantic Health is Seeking a Part-Time Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) – Nights – Summit, NJ

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a part-time Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. As the neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System, Overlook houses a 29-bed neuroscience unit and a newly renovated 12-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit caring for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma, and spinal surgery.

This night shift position is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, two nights per week, with weekend and holiday coverage required.

The APP will provide comprehensive care in collaboration with the Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical teams. Key responsibilities include patient assessments, diagnostic interpretation, placement of central and arterial lines, bedside procedures, daily progress documentation, and patient/family education and discussions.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• 2 years of Critical Care experience is required
• ENLS certification is preferred
• Must have excellent communication and computer skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
