In a fast-paced environment like production, the production supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. He must be competent and comprehend complex operations. He should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs and leveraging the number of units produced.  

What you'll be doing:

• Help management to set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees;
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules;
• Act as head of facilities in Canelas to understand capital equipment requirements and build the plan to present to the Director of Production Planning for budget approval and investment;
• Ensure the safe use of the equipment and schedule regular maintenance;
• Check production output according to specifications;
• Submit reports on performance and progress;
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements;
• Train new employees on how to use the production tools and equipment and follow procedures/ work instructions;
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards related to Quality and Compliance;
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory and compliance activities within the prescribed area, including, but not limited to: Federal Drug Administration, EUMDR, Good Manufacturing Practices, and ISO standards (9001 and 13485).

What you need to have:

• High School Diploma, preferably a Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field, will be an advantage;
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role;
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools;
• Advanced skills in MS Office;
• Organizational and leadership abilities;
• Communication and interpersonal skills;
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach;
• Problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points or We'd Love to see:

• Experience managing a high-volume, high-margin, high-customer service environment;
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM);
• Good understanding of business principles and supply chain technology advancements;
• Based in Porto, Portugal, or Canelas, Portugal.
