Regional Customer Operations Manager, North America (Business-to-Business Industry)

Job Purpose
Manage the regional customer operations function for North America to include the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Will also manage the customer service team. Will work as part of the regional commercial leadership team to champion customer-centricity and ensure sales topics and customer concerns are addressed and resolved.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the regional customer service team in daily activities to include processing of customer orders, management of returns and credits, and resolution of customer concerns and complaints. Will ensure tasks are completed according to expected standards.
- Ensure the customer operations business processes are defined, documented, and understood by the customer service team.
- Ensure that country and customer-specific service level agreements are in place, maintained, and adhered to.
- Assists customers with pricing updates, commercial samples, invoices, and product quotes, as needed,
- Work with cross-functionals teams, to include supply chain management, to ensure that customer requirements are understood and efficiently processed to meet customer service level agreements.
- Abide by all relevant health, safety, and environmental rules, leading by example in their application.
- Apply the AkzoNobel core principles and code of conduct in daily activities. Will lead by example in team activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
- 10 years' customer service experience with 5 years' experience in a supervisory role in the coatings industry or a related business-to-business environment.
- Must possess commercial and business acumen as well as an understanding of cross-functional processes related to sales.
- Excellent project and program management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive change management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Total Compensation
The compensation package for this position will include a base salary, annual bonus, and employee benefits that are effective the first day of employment.
