Job Summary:

Join the University of Colorado as a Data Center Administrator and take the lead in operating multiple high-performance data center locations that power cutting-edge medical research at the Anschutz Medical Campus, international scientific collaborations, and the academic success of students at both the CU Denver Campus and CU Anschutz Medical Campus.  We are seeking a hands-on leader to play a critical role in supporting the daily operations, reliability, and scalability of our data center environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, service-provider-level setting and is passionate about enabling research and education through robust infrastructure. You’ll work closely with network engineers, researchers, and IT professionals to ensure our systems meet the evolving demands of higher education and global discovery.

  • Work on multiple campus entities in providing service across all CU campuses

  • Support the robust electrical/hvac/security facilities of CU’s newest data center environment

  • Support and maintain the physical layer data network of the data center environments

  • Spearhead new technologies in maintaining a robust security awareness surrounding the data center environments

  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis investigations for incidents involving the data center environments

Work Location:

Onsite – This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
