202 - Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer (Core Java is required)

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with Core Java experience to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a full-stack developer, you should be comfortable with front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. Responsibilities

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements

• Eight (8) - Ten (10) years of Software Development experience
• Expert-level Java development is a requirement
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Must have breadth and depth of knowledge, having experience working in a variety of different roles
• Must have Infrastructure experience to understand concepts such as VPN, Networks, Security, Monitoring, and Systems Management
• Create highly available and scalable infrastructure in AWS cloud by using various AWS services
• Proficient in both front-end and back-end languages and frameworks, as well as in server, network and hosting environments
• Must be well-versed in both business logic and user experience, meaning you are not only well-equipped to get hands-on but can also guide and consult on strategy too
• Knowledge of CI/CIT/CID integration
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a relevant field
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate - Preferred
• Current and relevant experience on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services projects is REQUIRED

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience on systems with complex requirements
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
