Sr. Piping Designer

Burrow Global has an immediate need for a Sr. Piping Designer for a 6 month temporary assignment with a petrochemical client in the Pasadena area.

Daily Duties:

Candidates will be required to go to the field and dimensionally route pipe (this includes basic supporting requirements, spacing, etc.) take field notes, measurements and create field sketches in order to generate layouts and isometric.  Candidates for this position must be able to identify design issues and make suggestions for changes. 

Candidates must have a solid understand piping specifications, routing / layout plan, isometrics w/bill of materials.  This position will work with 2d and 3d drawings.  Candidates will be responsible for updating key plans, general routing layouts, develop and generate Tie-Ins and shop drawings and isometrics.    

Candidates for this position should have experience developing engineering packages needed for construction. Experience with MOC’s is not required but a plus.

Candidates must be proficient in Autocad, Microstation.

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience as a piping designer.

Candidates must be able to start immediately.

Educational requirements:

Associates degree in Drafting or a related area is desired.

Active TWIC Card is required.
