As the International Commercial Legal Counsel you will be responsible for supporting inbound vendor deals across different regions.This is a strategic position in which you will have the opportunity to work and liaise with different departments, key stakeholders and will require you to have a strategic mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, Marketing & Media, this will be an opportunity to work in a hugely varied role with interesting projects and an international remit.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial agreements, including audiovisual rights, broadcast licences, production, and data protection agreements
Draft, review, negotiate and close inbound vendor agreements, including software licences and strategic partnerships
Maintenance of legal agreements and corporate documentation of several companies in various jurisdictions
Help develop and maintain effective contract processes, our contract management system, precedent agreements, and all relevant end-user documents
Requirements
Qualified to practice law in the UK, US or a European jurisdiction
Working proficiency in English with additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese is a plus4+ years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer (with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial transactions) at a prominent law firm, a relevant in-house corporate setting, or both
In-house legal experience is an advantage
Corporate governance and technology contracting experience, including consumer protection and privacy compliance. Experience in Betting and Gaming Law, Responsible Gambling, and AML is a plus
Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations, prioritise and execute multiple projects, and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced work setting
Collaborative team player with a good sense of humour
