Role Overview
The Director of Store Planning & Construction will oversee the Construction team and be responsible for the supervision and monitoring of all renovations and new construction projects for the boutique network, corporate, and regional facilities in the Americas (USA, Canada, LatAm). This role will report directly to the AVP of Store Planning and be based in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of project managers in coordinating and monitoring all phases of construction and remodels, from design development, to permit approval and procurement, to build-out, punch list and final account settlements.
- Effectively implement and reinforce brand design and quality standards by frequently communicating with HQ design team, by proposing innovative solutions and researching state of the art construction applications.
- Build tools and checklists to streamline regional construction processes and ensure budget optimization and quality control.
- Support the coordination of special transversal projects, such as new façade concept R&D, LEED implementation, IT & technological upgrades.
- Oversee management of capex budget for all construction projects: monitor overall spending, conduct relevant data analysis and benchmarking, provide monthly and quarterly spending forecasts by utilizing appropriate budget tools.
- Work in partnership with Procurement team to source and validate appropriate vendors, negotiate pricing and meet spending targets.
- Perform periodic site visits and inspect progress of construction projects and provide support during boutique openings for a smooth transition to boutique staff. Conduct periodical market visits for benchmarking purposes and quality control assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management is preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in luxury retail design, construction, and/or project management.
- Strong managerial & organizational effectiveness to align business goals, drive continuous improvement and deliver results.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CAD and other relevant design software (Adobe PhotoShop, Bluebeam, Indesign).
- Advanced knowledge of all MS Office.
- Ability to travel on location at least 30% of the time.

Expected Salary Range: $150,000- $170,000/yr
Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
This role is annual bonus eligible.
