LOGISTICS MANAGER

Requirements: 

• Tier 1 knowledge is an asset
• Previous supply chain management experience in a JIT (Just-In-Time) environment
• 5+ years in a Materials role
• Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
• APICS training
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 / CSR (Customer Specific Requirements)
• Knowledge of ISO 14001
• SAP or other MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system working knowledge
• Previous knowledge of DCX material flow
• Covisint knowledge
• Good knowledge of JIS (Just-In-Sequence) process

Duties:

• Production & Scheduling: Lead scheduling of materials/services to ensure 100% on-time delivery in a Just-In-Time/Just-In-Sequence environment while minimizing costs.
• Material Management: Review daily/weekly material needs, support PPAP and PSO activities, and maintain proper inventory levels aligned with KPIs.
• Supplier & Customer Coordination: Interface with suppliers, customers, and purchasing to resolve issues and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Team Leadership: Oversee logistics team across all shifts and ensure consistent operations.
• Shipping & Warehousing: Manage inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse activities, and warranty returns.
• Compliance & Audits: Conduct various audits and ensure compliance with company policies, safety, environmental standards (ISO 14001), and IATF 16949.
• Safety & Environmental Responsibility: Promote health and safety, use PPE, and have authority to stop production for safety or quality concerns.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and maintain 5S standards.
• Technology & Communication: Ensure access to required systems and maintain open communication with logistics partners.
