Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations globally and regionally to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Anti-tamper (AT) and C2BMC leadership regarding updates or changes to the C2BMC system
Perform Anti-Tamper Risk and Threat Management Assessments and prepare reports for the C2BMC program
Develop the analysis process and prepare the AT plan, and provide coordination and input for near-term fielding decisions
Develop, deliver, and maintain the C2BMC AT Plan, C2BMC AT Evaluation Plan, C2BMC Key Management Plan, and C2BMC Program Protection Plan
Develop, deliver, and maintain Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, Defense Exportability Assessments, and defense export strategy
Develop, deliver, and maintain waivers for CPI, AT, or defense exportability features
Assess program Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans to support verification and validation efforts
Develop and deliver recommendations to improve program protection while meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Assess program protection and Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans to support verification and validation efforts
Identify risk-based technical countermeasures to protect C2BMC Critical Program Information and Critical Components
Brief on Anti-Tamper and Program Protection requirements and prepare white papers and evaluations as required
Support program milestone reviews and Fielding Decisions, and verify that entrance criteria are satisfied by having the Anti-Tamper and Program Protection products approved
Interact with the customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
Support the development of plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
Keep senior management informed of major accomplishments, issues, and concerns
Basic Qualifications:
