The Role

Are you process person who is looking to positively influence the efficiency of delivery for business leaders? The Director of Delivery Practice Leads for FI is a combined leadership and active contribution role. You will have the opportunity to actively evolve the guidance of effective business processes while working in the changing and challenging delivery environments of FI!

As a leader, you will work with and manage several individual contributors. The Delivery Practices Leads (DPL) provide an expanded contribution to the traditional agile coaching role. You will be responsible for developing a detailed engagement plan for Product Area Leads and Domain Leads in 16 FI domains. This includes curating a pipeline of opportunities, characterizing shifts in the organizational delivery trends, and promoting good fundamentals of delivery practices in a variety of systems for the organization.

As a contributing DPL, we need someone who can fill the gap in times of peak demand and partner on complex engagements. Proven ability to help teams integrate effective routines for strategic framing, product and feature innovation, backlog readiness, and iterative execution is required. We engage with clients at their current level of practice and assist in adopting efficient delivery methods in key areas.

A key accountability will be operationalizing proven delivery practices through impactful and consistently deliverable workshops. We are working to collect the creative solutions and facilitation techniques used by the DPLs in a way that makes the outcomes easily transferable between engagements. We are assembling a set of offerings that integrate with the closely related workshops from our Product Analysis and Design group to resolve the most common business requests for support.

We are looking for a people leader who can:

• Develop a strategic path forward for your team to meet the anticipated and evolving needs of FI.
• Collaborate with peer leaders in the FI PDE organization to develop shared goals and measures of success.
• Establish clear goals for specific engagements and individual contributions with the DPLs.
• Curate ongoing relationships and develop a backlog of opportunities with our customer base.
• Translate organizational trends into new opportunities and continually evolve the value offered by the team.
• Provide autonomy for the experienced DPLs to work while providing support where challenges are met.
• Set expectations for individual accountability to meet outcomes alongside the autonomy to deliver.
• Promote an environment where the DARN principles come to life for both the work and the team.

We need a contributor who has experience in the key responsibilities of a Delivery Practice Lead:

• Assess existing group delivery practices to identify gaps, inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Identify and improve metrics to measure effectiveness of the delivery system.
• Innovate and streamline workflows and delivery processes to ensure speed, accuracy and reliability.
• Advise, guide and support the FI leaders as their needs for iterative and incremental delivery patterns evolve.
• Bring together critical partners and establish routines to foster collaborative and outcome-focused ways of working.
• Actively partner with associates responsible for implementing changes and set them up for continued success.
• Support and facilitate the adoption of enterprise tools and resources.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies and current practices in delivery systems and logistics.

FI Product Delivery Excellence is the parent organization for the FI Delivery Practices CoE. It encompasses Product Analysis and Design, IT Project Management (formerly known as Scrum Masters), Strategic Program Management, Delivery Practice Leads, Delivery Enablement, and Shared Services. Your team of Delivery Practice Leads will be key integrators of the talents from all these groups. We collaborate with chapter leads to identify impactful skills to advance together and work directly with individual associates to implement the routines and artifacts needed for successful delivery practices.
