Street Medicine RN, Casual / PRN

Position Purpose:

The Registered Nurse Community Health and Well-being Street Medicine provides comprehensive clinical nursing support to the Street Medicine program, including collecting and documenting vitals, history of present illness, allergies and current medications in the mobile clinic setting and on street rounds; as well as providing resources, referrals, and education to the patient tailored to their unique socioeconomic status and living circumstances. Provide Point of Care testing, phlebotomy, and immunizations as directed by the prescribing provider. Follow-up with patients in need of short-term case management in order to obtain shelter, specialty care, or basic needs.

**Casual / PRN position, expecting to work approximately 4-14 hours per week Monday-Friday, mainly 8a-5p.

Minimum Qualifications:

License / Certification:

o Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

o Must have a valid Driver's License.

o BLS Healthcare provider training required

o Criminal Fingerprinting as required by Ohio law

· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of RN experience. In addition, preferably in medical/surgical, primary care, urgent care, emergency department, and/or community health.

· Willingness to work with all cultural and socio-economic groups.

· Possess knowledge of County, State and Federal programs (Medicaid, Social Security, Job and Family benefits).

· Available for flexible work hours when required.

· Ability to work within various environments including respite centers, shelters, soup kitchens, community centers, and on the street or in encampments.
