  • Image processing and analysis of experimental data (e.g., micro-CT or microscopy data).
  • Development of computational models, including finite element (FE) models of biological and bioinspired structures.
  • Execution of numerical simulations and design optimization studies for structural and biomechanical applications.
  • Integration of experimental observations with computational modeling to advance multiscale material design.
  • Documentation, data management, and preparation of research outputs (figures, reports, and manuscripts).

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience.
  • Experience with finite element modeling and simulation of structural or biological systems.
  • Familiarity with experimental techniques, including sample preparation, imaging (e.g., micro-CT), or mechanical testing.
  • Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C/C++) and data analysis.
  • Experience integrating experimental data with computational modeling approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.
