Senior Director, Pricing and Strategy - Americas

The Senior Director, Pricing and Strategy - Americas  critical role is to facilitate, build financial evaluation and effective pricing process for new projects in logistics, P&T, JVs. Also to develop appropriate controls for delivering value of portfolio and provide analysis for potential returns.  The successful candidate will facilitate the process of coordinating financial evaluation and pricing for projects which impact on multiple divisions or geographies, lead the financial evaluation of projects and initiatives in the business, and take the lead on strategic initiatives in the organization.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
 

• Set and implement the framework for end to pricing and project evaluation.
• Lead the initiative modeling exercise for the 3 year strategic plan and beyond
• Work with the commercial and IT functions on what is need to speed up pricing decisions through systems and empowerment.
• Build on the work of the OneDPWorld+ group to develop appropriate controls over end to end pricing across the business.
• Provide a center of excellence to support clusters in doing this.
• To lead the financial evaluation of OneDPWorld+ projects.
• To be a key driver of the OneDPWorld+ process.
• Carry out asset specific and portfolio wide analysis, taking a proactive and entrepreneurial approach to identify and deliver value initiatives across the portfolio. 
• To play a key role in driving adhoc projects in the region such as changes in shareholding levels, shareholder agreements & JV partner disputes. 
• Lead and mobilize resources in the preparation / review of detailed financial models including all key assumptions while performance and conduct sensitivity analyses to determine potential returns. 
• To work with the logistics and P&T pillars to develop joint value propositions. 
• Produce, with minimal supervision and to a high standard strategic analyses and recommendation for Senior Corporate Management regarding strategic decisions on existing operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred
• Financial or accounting qualification  with US experience required
• Up to 10 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 8 years business leadership/specialist experience. Experience in a management function within the accounting / finance area
• Proven background in Business, Commercial
• Experience of system integration
• Experience of M&A integration and transformation / change management
• Project management experience, pricing and project evaluation
• Reporting at or to Board Level / C-Suite
• Demonstrable experience of a full project management lifecycle;
• Leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing a huge infrastructure project management;
• An untold understanding of developing a large project successfully from a Brownfield or Greenfield site e.g. Engineering, Commercial, Environment, HR, Health and Safety, Communications, IT;
• Clear experience at delivering high quality results;
• Relevant industry operational experience from previous positions; 
• Demonstrable experience of managing others efficiently and effectively to meet personal and business targets; 
• Evidence of leading and driving innovation and enterprise with project management experience; 
• Good business acumen with a true understanding of economics; 
• Self evident problem solving skills;
