SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

The Senior Special Logistics Program Manager will report to the Vice President of Global Service Logistics .

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and management of special logistics programs to support End of Life (EOL) products, structured replacement of aging components within arrays and product quality remediation programs for customers who have purchased a Pure service contract.
  • Work within a cross-functional environment and will collaborate with multiple Pure internal and external functions such as CX, Sales, Manufacturing Operations, GTS, Pure vendors and customers.
  • Analyze specific product and/or customer requirements to determine if a special logistics program (outside of the standard break-fix activities) is required.
  • If a special logistics program is required, the Senior Manager will develop a plan of action, secure approval to proceed and manage the program through implementation to completion. Determine the products affected, aging and the customer install base by location.
  • Once the scope and size of such a special logistics program is determined, the Senior Manager will collaborate with GSL Planning, Fulfillment, Field Engineering/Professional Services, Product Support, Technical Support and Critical Accounts to develop the program plan.
  • If a Sales upgrade program is required, the Senior Manager will work with Sales to agree with the customers to be upgraded and the upgrade schedule, measure and report on the progress of the Sales Program.
  • Responsible for the planning, deployment to strategy stocking locations, fulfillment, on-site exchange, recovery and refurbishment of the service replacement inventory that will be utilized by the special logistics program. 
  • Determine the overall cost of such a special logistics program and agree to a budget with the CX FP&A team. 
  • Develop the reporting mechanism required to track progress against the special logistics program budget and ensure that the “break fix” and special logistics program costs are reported separately.
  • Develop reporting metrics for all special logistics programs and will publish the metrics on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis as required.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • 10+ years experience planning service parts inventory utilizing tools such as Prophet by Baxter, Xelus, Servigistics etc.
  • 10 years experience operationally managing service part logistics and repair vendors (UPS, DHL, Cokeva, Tech Data, etc.)
  • Extensive experience managing customer remediation programs in a post-sales, service logistics environment
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Extensive experience using Oracle or SAP
  • Comprehensive experience using MS Office or Google Docs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Occasional business travel may be required
