As a Java Backend Developer, you will be an independent individual contributor, whose work has a direct impact on the team's outcomes.</p><p>Key<strong> </strong>responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Implement business logic from business requirements and design specification</li><li>Design and develop scalable and high-performance back-end systems using Java and Spring</li><li>Collaborate with the front-end development team to integrate user-facing elements with the back-end systems</li><li>Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions using Azure</li><li>Focus on quality code, automation and good practices</li><li>Contribute to and be part of the Development Center Of Excellence in driving up the quality and value of software development and delivery across the enterprise</li><li>Participate in agile scrum ceremonies and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules</li><li>Develop and test software solutions and review code quality</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices</li><li>Automate build, test (unit, functional and performance) and deployment of the code part of the CI/CD pipeline by working closely with Platform Engineer</li><li>Design and implement database structures using Microsoft SQL Server</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Required skills</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field</li><li>5+ years of development experience in back-end development projects using Java and Spring</li><li>Strong proficiency in Java and Spring framework</li><li>Have experience or working knowledge of:<ul><li>Java (Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Gradle, REST API's) JSON, XML</li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud computing, specifically Azure</li><li>Strong experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server</li><li>Knowledge of GitHub and version control practices</li><li>Agile – Scrum/Kanban, TDD (JUnit, Mockito) Pair Programming</li><li>Knowledge of Azure Pipelines, and GitHub Actions is good to have</li><li>Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable</li><li>Experience with Integration frameworks (e.g., Mule, Camel) desirable</li><li>Architectural mindset &amp; documentation</li></ul></li><li>Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, particularly scrum</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>What’s in it for you</strong></p><ul><li>We want you to be well compensated for what you bring in, so we offer an <strong>attractive salary package</strong></li><li>Not a morning person?
