WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK: 

Location: Candidate for this position must be within commutable distance of Weert, NLD. 

Travel: This role will require travel up to 20% of time, including international travel.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Director, International Supply Chain, working in a matrixed environment, will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of Tandem’s international supply chain operations across Europe. Areas of responsibility include Strategic Operations Planning, 3PLmanagement, Inventory and Transportation Management. Collaborates with manager on strategic long-range planning and New Market Introduction worldwide (NMI) and New Product Introductions into those markets. Works to develop and implement focused supply chain strategies which support business growth and profitability objectives, including the implementation of streamlined planning models, forecast modeling in support of customer satisfaction. Provides project management and leadership for future product planning requirements for existing products, and accessories. 

A Director of International Supply Chain at Tandem also:

  • Develops and implements supply chain strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to drive supply chain initiatives that support growth and profitability.
  • Oversees all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Ensures the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers while maintaining quality standards.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing supply chain team across multiple locations.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key 3PLs and partners to enhance operations strategies.
  • Negotiates contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Utilizes data analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on supply chain performance metrics to senior management.
  • Identifies potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitors global supply chain trends and regulations to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Drives sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to reduce environmental impact and promote ethical sourcing practices.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 5 years within the medical device/life science industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of GHTF – global harmonization standards for supply chain
  • Proven record of successful supply chain transformation and cost reduction.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain software and analytics tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and people skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Must have experience with IT Systems and tools (MS Office applications – including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for effective management reporting and presentation.<
