VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician with a strong interest in surgery and dentistry who is passionate about veterinary medicine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to continue growing their technical skills alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team.

This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys being hands-on in the treatment area, assisting with surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and advanced dental care, and who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care from admission through recovery.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care and patient monitoring

• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring

• Perform and assist with dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and dental procedures

• Prepare surgical patients, maintain sterile technique, and support surgical workflow

• Assist with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures

• Educate and communicate effectively with clients

• Maintain accurate medical records

• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital environment

What We’re Looking For: 

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)

• Experience or strong interest in surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry

• Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical patient care

• Strong clinical skills with a desire to continue learning

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
