Patient Care Technician I Surgical Ortho Full Time Days

  Summary

The Patient Care Tech / PCT II assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to the patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Certification or a minimum 1 year of experience performing nursing assistant duties in acute care nursing/hospital setting.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Certification or EMS Certification is preferred but not required.
• Current BLS for health care providers 
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.  Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment.
• Technical/Vocational training and ongoing demonstrated competence in one or more of the following modalities: EKG reading, HUC/Clerical, Phlebotomy, Monitor Tech
