The Program Director of Enrollment Management, English Language Center (ELC) directs and supervises the entire enrollment process and academic operations, including: inquiry, application, admissions, visa issuance, and advising. S/he oversees registration, billing, third party sponsor management, and student support services, advising international students who apply and are admitted to the English Language Center (ELC) programs at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. The incumbent supervises all procedures related to ELC program applications and enrollment including document processing, data management, student counseling and liaison work with other campus departments and college and universities. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Participate in international student recruitment through attendance at various recruitment fairs, industry conferences, and other student recruitment events, analyzing and evaluating applications annually to determine program admission and appropriate visa eligibility.
Issue Form I-20 documents to all admitted students and create/maintain SEVIS federal file for each student, creating and managing all files and databases related to student files throughout the semester.
Create and produce regular enrollment reports using information from enrollment databases to assist the ELC Senior Director in determining recruitment strategies to manage enrollment for all ELC programs.
In collaboration with the Student Services Coordinator, create and maintain student rosters for registration, billing, health insurance, third party management, and ELC faculty.
Meet with the Office of Global Services and SCS DSOs regularly to review and update procedures or policies to assure that Georgetown University and SCS complies with SEVIS regulations, counseling students throughout the semester through individual meetings and semester workshops to address issues related to visa status.
Evaluate student documents and interpret federal regulations to determine eligibility to travel, transfer to another program, provide for extension of stay, or change of status as well as monitor student course loads, local address information, and other components of student record administration.
Develop procedures and review processes to assure that each student file contains comprehensive, accurate, and current documents necessary to satisfy Georgetown University, ELC programs, CEA accreditation, and US government requirements for international students.
Supervise collection of all data pertinent to verification of F-1 visa status, working directly with the ELC program staff, including the IEP program director and Senior Director of ELC, to design and implement policies and procedures to address student behavior issues that may result in program termination for the student.
Analyze and review ELC program databases and external data sources, such as OPEN DOORS, the data source referencing all international student study trends in the US, to assist the ELC Senior Director in forecasting international geographic market trends in potential courses of study.
Assist the ELC Senior Director by participating in the hiring process for new staff and faculty, providing direct supervision of student services coordinator and student workers.
