Clinical Coordinator – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location
We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to support clinical operations within a fast-paced orthopedic practice. This role focuses on workflow coordination, provider support, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards. This is a non-patient-facing position that partners closely with the Practice Manager, providers, and clinical staff to drive efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily clinic workflows to ensure efficient patient flow and provider support
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Review and ensure accuracy of clinical documentation within the EMR
- Support development of clinical templates, protocols, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, including PPE, biohazard handling, training, and safety audits
- Maintain HIPAA compliance by monitoring EMR access, conducting audits, and training staff on privacy standards
- Assist with onboarding and training of clinical staff, including EMR systems (AthenaPractice)
- Support implementation of new systems, workflows, and operational initiatives
- Oversee clinical supply coordination and inventory management
- Partner with leadership on compliance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA/RMA preferred
- 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics or specialty care
- Experience in clinical coordination, compliance, or leadership preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical workflows
- Experience with EMR systems and documentation processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
- Office-based within a clinical environment (minimal to no direct patient interaction)
- Frequent collaboration with clinical and administrative staff
- Occasional need for extended hours related to audits or compliance deadlines
